Our second day at LA we went to universal Studios. which was almost memorable day indeed. I have to admit after being lucky enough to be in LA with a movie premier on, I was star struck and who should I see, none other than the Beautiful ‘Eva Longoria‘, traveling behind us on her way to the Desperate Housewives set, we actually got a lovely smile and alittle wave, so that kinda made my day, as i’m such a fan of the Hit series. You will see a snap shot gabby (Eva) on My hunnys blog as he is an even bigger fan, plus he’s the whole reason I’m hooked too. 😉
On our behind the scenes tour we saw the sets for War of the worlds, Jurassic Park, Jaws, The Mummy, and much much more. The theme Park was excellent to, and I highly recommend T2 and Water World they were both excellent shows. they also have Shrek, Back to the Future, Back draft, but The Jurassic park and Van Helsing shows were closed 🙁
A brill day out..
Today we left the beautiful San Diego for the Limelight & Chaos of Los Angeles. Finding our Hotel was easy thanks to the Sat Nav, what an amazing piece of technology…. wicked leaves you stress free for your journey… Well after we settled into our hotel we walked for 5 minutes and we were on Hollywood blvd, star spotting along the way… After some time has passed we were told that the movie premier of Music and Lyrics was on so we stopped for an extra 30 mins just to see if anyone would show… and we were not disappointed as quite a few stars turned up, but they were too far away to see, but is was kind of cool to see the glitz’s and glam, with cameras flashing all over the place, there was a real buzz about the place. And then we saw Hugh Grant who came over to us for autographs 🙂 His a picture of the man in question busy signing away. All in all this was a pretty cool day and the premier was the icing on the cake.
For our last night on the 66 we ate here, for a small town this place was bussin with activity and the food was excellent and there was plenty of it… Beer was excellent too. And the place has plenty of kicks on the route 66. Not to be missed 🙂 full of memorabilia. So until next end of January next year, thats it for now.
If your interestested in Washington DC, San Diego, and New York I will be posting under America 06.
After making our descission to leave for San Diego in the morning this is the first and last Christmas tree will see on the Historic 66, so until january next year when we resume our journey…
